Download of the Week: 1974 Anaheim Kingsmen

Download of the Week: 1974 Anaheim Kingsmen - This week’s Download of the Week is a real trip down memory lane, particularly since it’s from the first year of official Drum Corps International videos that still exist. Unfortunately, at the time, no one in a position to preserve our histor... [DCI.org]

Stan Kenton talks about The Kingsmen

In 1974, Anaheim Kingsmen delivered Kenton’s own “Artistry in Rhythm” as a screaming “push your hair back” concert standstill. The intensity level was one of the highlights of the season and worthy checking out on DCI’s Fan Network if you haven’t heard it. Crossmen also performed the piece in 1982.

Become a Charter Member of The Kingsmen Booster Club!

THE KINGSMEN JUNIOR DRUM & BUGLE CORPS WOULD LIKE TO
EXTEND AN INVITATION TO ALL PARENTS TO BECOME

A VERY IMPORTANT MEMBER OF

THE NEW KINGSMEN BOOSTER CLUB

Be involved in the making of a Champion! It all starts right here, with the Parents playing a pivotal role in making everything run smoothly. The involvement of Parents in Kingsmen History goes all the way back to the 60's. Parents participated on the Board of Directors, on uniform committees, equipment crews, fund raising, everything and anything important for the progress of the Corps. We want and need your help, there is so much to do.

Parents always want their children to become productive citizens in the community. Well, so do we. The Kingsmen organization prides itself on being "the best it can be", as our history of National Championships illustrates. By building an involved Booster Club, for everyone to participant in, we alumni, parents, brothers, sisters, and friends have a way to mingle and be a part of the growing Kingsmen family. Also, the Booster Club performs a major role in the overall fund raising efforts for the Corps. With active boosters, we can complete the many projects needed to get our Kingsmen back on the field of competition.

Booster Club officers include a President, Secretary, and Treasurer, all elected by the active Booster Club members. One of the primary roles of the Booster Club President is to keep the Board of Directors up-to-date on all active fund raising programs. In addition, the President is also a voting member of the Board of Directors. For a complete description of the functions and responsibilities of these positions, please refer to the By-Laws of the Kingsmen Starcorps Inc., located on the web at KingsmenDrumCorps.org.
